Washington, D.C. — Rep. Rush Holt today introduced legislation to extend his federal property tax relief initiative for five years.

This event is part of a statewide initiative proposed by Congressman Rush Holt to promote religious understanding and demonstrate appreciation for religious diversity within his district and statewide.

Holt's initiative would make schools eligible for funding to receive technical assistance from their state to reduce their carbon footprint. The overall legislation would ensure that school districts quickly receive funds for school modernization, renovation and repairs that create healthier, safer and more energy-efficient teaching and learning climates.

He said Holt, who stayed in Washington yesterday because the House was in session, worked particularly hard to direct funds toward scientific research and business development. He said Holt regards such spending as "seed money" invested in the state's future.

In his letter, Holt skewers the NJSEA and Monmouth Park for "dumping waste into the creek," and calls for the EPA to launch an investigation into the park's dumping of waste into the creek.

"In the beginning of the summer," she said, "I learned about health care and Social Security-related casework — what Rep. Holt can do to help people who are having problems with their health insurance or receiving proper payments from Medicare, and so on.
